IberBLH Program

It is a cooperation program in the Ibero-American Region for the exchange of knowledge and technology in the areas of Breastfeeding and Human Milk Bank. It was approved in November 2007, at the XVII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.

The summit was held in Chile, bringing together 22 Heads of State and Government of the Ibero-America nations, focusing on: "Social cohesion and social policies to achieve more inclusive societies in Ibero-America". Article 19 of the Program of Action approved the Summit Program of the Network of Human Milk Banks as an auxiliary proposal for the eradication of child malnutrition in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Currently, the following countries participate in the Program: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
