The HMB Network

Approximately 150,000 liters of human milk are collected, processed and distributed to infants of low birth weight in neonatal units every year in Brazil.

The country has the largest and most complex  Human Milk Bank Network of the world and is a model for international cooperation with over 20 countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa, established by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC).

The HMB Network's mission is to promote the health of women and children by integrating and building partnerships with federal agencies, the private sector and society.

In this section, we explain what  the Network is, how to help and take part, our history and the methodology, where we are and some of our results.
